The mission of Lakeland Mentoring is to establish and support quality one-on-one mentoring relationships between adult role models and youth in Washburn County.
Lakeland Mentoring serves youth between the ages of 5-14.
Youth must reside in Washburn County and meet specific criteria in order to be eligible for an adult mentor. All of our mentoring is done by volunteer mentors. We are always looking for additional volunteers to join our team!
Lakeland Mentoring was originally established in 2013 as an affiliate of the Kinship Network. In 2015, this program was brought under the services of Lakeland Family Resource Center.
We believe that mentoring relationships can be the basis for healthy development in many areas of a young person's life. For this reason, we collaborate with many organizations that are actively working with children and families in the Washburn County area.
