Seed Starting is not as easy as it sounds. During this Relatives as Parents session, Extension Washburn County Educator Kevin Schoessow and a Master Gardener Volunteer will talk about all that you need to know when considering and starting seeds including: pots, soil, seeds, & transplanting. All participants will receive seeds & potting supplies and have an opportunity to do some planting. We will meet at the Spooner Railroad Park Pavilion on Roundhouse Road. The meeting will also be available on Zoom for those who would like to join from home!

In offering the program locally we hope to catalyze positive change in our neighbors of all ages to live stronger, healthier lives by providing knowledge, inspiration, access to programs, and ongoing support. Savor the Small things

Savoring the Small Things - Danette from UW-Maison Extension will work with participants to connect with positive emotions through an activity designed to enhance our ability to savor the small things in life. Savoring has been shown to help us manage stress and negative emotions, improve our overall outlook on life and generate a sense of peace and calm even in challenging times.
Family events are designed for the whole family either to get out together or do enjoy an activity at home. Please see each event for date and times. Please remember to register for each event you plan to participate in so we can plan for supplies and food.

Join us on Saturday May 22 for a family outing at the Spooner Ag Research Station Teaching & Display Gardens for a tour and experience the leaning opportunities in the gardens open to the public! Picnic lunch and family activity will be provided.

Join us for a family outing while we explore the Stone Lake Wetland Trail and enjoy a ice cream treat. Families will meet at the Whistle Punk parking lot and walk over to the nature trail together. We will end our time together by enjoying an ice cream treat.
